Self Potraits
This year I want to introduce my class to different kinds of art and learn a bit about the artist. We started with Frida Kahlo and because most of her art was self portraits we set up our art corner with a mirror for self portraits.

Valentine Suncatchers
Made these with my preschool class today.
Cut a heart shaped ‘frame’ out of construction paper.
Place the heart frame on a piece of contact paper and have the child place little pieces of tissue paper on the contact paper until it is all covered.
I think they came out so pretty…we will give them to the parents next week.
Valentines Mobile
This was super simple and easy…the kids did it on their own one day.
Pressed Flower Suncatchers
We used pressed flowers on contact paper.
Colored Macaroni
Add a few drops of food coloring to alcohol and mix in the dry Macaroni. Give it a few minutes to dry out and you have the perfect beads to create bracelets, necklaces…
or you can simply glue them on cardstock to make pictures or frames.
Easiest Cookies Ever!
1 cup of Peanut Butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
Bake for 8 minutes at 350
As soon as you take them out of the oven, press a m&m in the center.
